New sem, new notebooks
And no, I’m not referring to those old things you use to write stuff down on. I’m talkin ‘bout the techie notebooks.
Since I’ve been a good boy lately, I’m planning on asking my parents to get me one for Christmas. I saw these cool mini-notebooks by Acer at Villman’s last week, and they were hella funtastic to look at. They come in all sorts of cute colors; pink, blue, golden brown and my personal fave, seashell white.
The Aspire One measures 9.8 x 6.7 x 1.14 inches and weighs a little more than two pounds. It’s equipped with 802.11b/g WiFi. Other I/O includes three USB ports and an Ethernet port. Integrated at the top of the 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display is a webcam. With a 1GB RAM (onboard 512MB + 1x 512MB Module) and an Intel Atom Processor N270 1.60GHz. 512KB L2 Cache,533MHz FSB, a whopping 160GB storage space and a 0% interest 12 month payment scheme, the Php27,000.00 tag price is well worth it.
There’s also a less costly unit available, but of course with lower specs. It only has a measely 8GB storage space, also it’s lighter than its 160GB counterpart. Price tag on this one is Php16,000.00.
If I get lucky enough, maybe my mom will get me the new Apple MacBook MB003, the thinnest notebook in the world! It’s dimensions are 0.16 to 0.76 x 12.8 x 8.94 inches. Now that’s what you call thin!
Man I sooo want one of these babies… If only I were filthy rich.
