Jao Mapa: How long have you been a magician?
Dan Michael: Well it depends. Sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes, and minsan 10 hours long.
JM: No no no, you didn’t get the question. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MAGICIAN?
DM: Ah, it depends. See, sometimes you have a cards and sometimes there’s a dram.
(long pause)
DM: You didn’t get the answer.
JM: It’s okay.
JM: Are you familiar with black magic?
DM: Yes, in fact I’m a black magic. Because my favorite color is a black and I am a master magician. So I myself is a black magic. Sometimes I’m a red magic because I am wearing a red swimming trunks.
JM: What’s the difference between black and red magic?
DM: The color itself. Swimming trunks, and the favorite color black.
JM: Which is more powerful? The black or the red?
DM: You know, the cards are two. The black and the red. So there is red for the hearts and diamonds, and black for ah like this one (shows a queen of spades). That’s why there are two magics in the market today.
JM: Okay, do you know David Blaine?
(long awkward pause)
